So You Want to Talk about Race | Ijeoma Oluo

Systemic racism is a machine that runs whether we pull the levers or not, and just by letting it be, we are responsible for what it produces.”

A Chelsea pick! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars. I found this book incredibly helpful and informative about racism in the U.S. As a White woman, I struggle to understand the depth and true horror of systemic racism in our country. I cannot recommend this book enough, especially for people who also struggle with having conversations about racism like I do. I have been on a journey to do the work of anti-racism over the past year, but still sometimes find it hard to have productive conversations. With things like putting my thoughts into the right words or without getting heated. Ijeoma Oluo puts things bluntly and gives us the proper knowledge to create better and more meaningful, important conversations.
