Kate has it all - the successful boyfriend, the high-paying job, the NYC apartment. She heads to brunch with Thomas, expecting what she has wanted for so long, a ring. Unfortunately, she is met with the stark reality that he is breaking up with her. In one morning, her life changes as Kate quits her job and moves back to her hometown of Sea Pointe, New Jersey.

Ziggy is Kate's oldest friend and next door neighbor, whose father passed away earlier that year. In an effort to uphold the family name, Ziggy has been working very hard for the family plumbing business. Unsure how to keep it afloat, he asks his best friend, Miles, for help with the accounting side of things. "The Prince of Sea Pointe" returns to help Ziggy, and attempt to prove to his mother that he can take over the Wharf Resort & Hotel. This summer reunion of now 30-somethings leads to new and unexpected futures for each of them. 

A Chelsea pick! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4 stars. Rock the Boat gave me all kinds of feels. If you are a fan of Evvie Drake Starts Over, then I 10/10 recommend this book! I’d also LOVE to see this as a movie, especially for the Wharf Resort & Hotel.
