Gods of the Gates (read: Game of Thrones) just wrapped its final season. Fans are worried because the show runners have started on a new project and ran out of source material (sound familiar?). The male lead, Marcus Caster-Rupp, agrees with the fans. So much so that he has had a secret alter ego for years, Book!AneasWouldNever, on a fanfic forum where he writes his own reimagining of how the story should go. No one can find out about his writing or else he'd be blacklisted from Hollywood. 

April Whittier is a geologist also with a secret - her obsession with Gods of the Gates. She writes her own (raunchy) fanfic and creates beautiful and complicated cosplay as a main lead female on Gods of the Gates. She has formed a lot of friendships on the forum, including a close bond with Book!AneasWouldNever, but has never attached her picture because she is afraid the community will judge her because of her size.

When April finds a new job, where everyone seems less uptight, she decides to post a picture on Twitter of her in cosplay. Trolls abound and are cruel. You'll never guess who sees the exchange and defends April and her beauty - Marcus Caster-Rupp! He says if she ever wants to get dinner, he would love to take her. Neither of them realize they already know each other! What will happen next!?

An Alicia read ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4 Stars! This book was such a fun read. The predicability was exactly what I was looking for. The supporting characters are so hilarious, this book had me laughing out loud. I loved the represenration in this book too! I am eagerly awaiting the forthcoming sequel.
